For lastvoyages: Spam for Hallways and Deck

[Dracula feels better. He's felt better for days, but for most of those days he's been too out of it to function properly. He has some idea as to why, but the strange thing is that he's neither upset about it nor feeling any particular loss. Part of that is the weird streak of protectiveness he feels toward the one who might, maybe, possibly, be responsible...but most of it is a peculiar sense of relief.]

[He hasn't seen anyone for days save for two strangers, and he's bored of his room. He still doesn't think to contact anyone or go to the greenhouse, and he's not thirsty right now. So, he wanders, in his shirtsleeves, hair loose, and a look of slightly vacant confusion on his face. The lightheadedness has lessened considerably, allowing him to wander without knocking into things, but...he's clearly not all there, and seems very distracted.]



[OOC note: Dracula got zapped with some serious magic and is going to be a little derpy for a while as a side effect. Feel free to find him wandering somewhere in the public areas.]

[The bright side such as it is at being taken from his city and his work is that Joshua has unprecedented time to read things, and the library on the Barge is well-stocked. He's found himself a comfortable-enough niche to ensconce himself in, and a suitable book to peruse, though he alternates between going over the pages and glancing up at people passing by.]

[Dracula wanders past, balancing on the deck railing nonchalantly, his eyes a bit vacant.]

[Haha. That's good enough to pull Joshua's attention away from his book at least for a little. And he recognizes that face, anyway.

The low lilt of a whistle follows Dracula as Joshua adds an impromptu soundtrack to Dracula's impromptu balance beam performance...]

[He stops, but wavers back and forth on the railing in a rather gravity defying way.]

Oh. Hello again....

[Joshua marks his place in his book with a forefinger, and rests his elbow on his knee and his chin in his hand to keep an eye on Dracula.]

Hello, dear. You look a mite precarious there.

Oh, I am fine. Gravity and I have a mutual non-aggression agreement. [leeeeeean]. How are you?

[He just stays right where he is, watching Drac casually.]

Oh, I could complain, but that would be gauche. [A tilt of the head.] What would happen if you fell right now?

[He shrugs and lets himself fall--only to end up floating on his side as if in water.] Not much actually. [He glides back over the railing and to a vague standing position. His eyes remain glazed and vague.]

How dull. [Just observing still.] Too bad.

[He stretches out his legs in front of him and reclines a bit.] Would you still be up for a game, by any chance?

[A shrug.] Gravity is optional to my people.

Of course. Shall I retrieve my chess set?

[zeitgeists]

Really. [So not a barge thing. He tilts his head and smiles.] Please do! Let's have some fun.

Actually, do be careful not to fall off. The Barge will stop for you and you'll spend an indeterminate amount of time thinking you are someone else.

Someone else, really? Anyone in particular?

It seems to depend on what the nearest parallel world is. For example, when people fall overboard at a Port, they become a part of the Port community.

So far, I have been a vigilante cowboy, an alcoholic pianist, Attila the Hun and an actor named Richard.

Definitely Richard. He was merely mortal, but he really knew how to make the most of what he had.
